DTF printers

For printing on textiles with Epson print heads — stable, fast machines for any volume, from a compact desktop printer to industrial production.

How DTF printing works

The principle of DTF (Direct-to-Film) printing is very simple. The result is a flexible, durable, high-quality print that holds up well after washing.

  1. Printing on film

The design is printed on a special PET film.

  2. Adhesive powder

Adhesive powder is sprinkled onto the print.

  3. Heating

The powder is heated and melted.

  4. Transfer

A heat press transfers the image onto the fabric.

Why DTF

Why are DTF printers so popular?

In recent years DTF technology has quickly overtaken other methods, such as DTG or heat-transfer stickers.

Works on almost any fabric

Light or dark, cotton or polyester — it does not matter. White ink makes it possible to print on dark fabrics too.

No complicated preparation

Unlike DTG, the fabric needs no special pre-treatment before printing.

High durability

The print does not crack or peel and survives washing.

Flexibility

You can print in advance and press only when an order comes in. This matters a lot for e-commerce businesses.

Low unit cost

Especially at larger volumes, DTF becomes very competitive.
